Legal advisor

Do I need a legal advisor?
No, there is no requirement to be represented by a lawyer before the Swiss courts. This means that you can represent yourself in court.

In principle, you do not need legal representation in matters of family law. However, if your circumstances are complex, especially from a financial viewpoint , it is advisable to seek legal advice in advance so that you decide whether you really need a legal advisor.
If the counter party is represented by a lawyer, you should also retain a legal advisor in any event.
